Day 8

Not much to report today. Woke up feeling a bit average and had topack my bag, not the best way to spend a Sunday morning. Got it done and went for a walk and got breakfast, I wasn't feeling too bad but felt really sick soon after and walked around the shops in a daze. After about an hour we went back to Yashi's to chill out and hope I'd feel better. Had a quick chat to Yashi and then we had to leave, he and his wife Sunam even saw us out to the gate which was really nice.

The rest of the day was trains, trains, trains back to Tokyo. Keihan railway to Tofukuji, JR to Kyoto, Shinkansen to Shinagawa and then JR Yamanote to Shinjuku and then hotel. Still felt a bit sick all day so didn't do much at all.

We had a private room in Kyoto which was Japanese style, so getting back to a proper bed will be much appreciated. The room was about 2/3 the size of my loungeroom and only cost us ¥7000 a night ($90aud) and our own air con and personal tour guide. Bargain.

Oh yeah and I've hit my head 6 times now, including one beauty that hurt for a good 20-30 minutes.

Back to Shinjuku Park hotel and we just got some Din Tai Fung dumplings for dinner and went to bed kinda early to go to Tsukiji fish market in the morning.
