We thought we would check out the Valley of Fire state park and then move on to somewhere more interesting, but we emerged about 6 hours later. I haven't touched these photos up very much, the reds were RED and the sky was BLUE today....just lucky (although I did use a polarizing filter). The scale of the rocks are out of whack in all of the shots e.g. the one with me in it: the rocks behind me were probably about half a km away and they were towering over that little valley. So they don't do it justice, but some are pretty cool.
