Washington, DC (but mostly the Air & Space Museum)

DC is one part Beijing, one Rome, one London & one generic American city all stitched together. I liked it, but it didn't do much for me. The weather and a sore back didn't help, maybe we were spoiled coming straight from Chicago. Anyway here are my 3 photos. 373A1826

We got a car & headed to the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum (Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center) about an hour out of DC in peak hour. Space Shuttle Discovery is the main attraction here and for good reason. You'd have to be crazy to fly in that thing, even more so when it's strapped to 2 giant rockets and a huge fuel tank. Kinda cool to see it considering my cousin Andy saw it launch from Cape Canaveral over a decade ago.

They had heaps of other cool stuff like a Concorde, Enola Gay (the plane that dropped The Bomb on Hiroshima), Nazi fighters, Japanese fighters, American fighters and bombers etc etc. I'm not even into this stuff and it was pretty awesome. Anyway, took some close ups of Discovery cause I thought that's what some people would want to see.
